Guide · pressure washing

When is pressure washing useful and when not?

High water pressure dissolves dirt, but can change joints, soft coverings, coatings or already damaged surfaces. The method is therefore not suitable before the material and condition are tested.

Scope of work

Four tests in front of the apparatus

The name of the material is often not enough. Age, processing and condition decide.

Surface surface

  • Test hardness and coating
  • Holding cracks and loose parts
  • Manufacturer's specifications

Recruitment

  • Adjust pressure and distance
  • Selecting an essay appropriately
  • Check the sample area

Environment

  • Protect joints and edges
  • Watch for windows, facades and plants
  • Keeping water out

Planning

When another procedure is better

In the case of soft, porous, coated or predamaged surfaces, mechanical or gentle working may be more useful. Open joints and sensitive connection points also speak against a blanket high-pressure use.

KRIZANOVIC decides the procedure after inclusion. The site is not a general material release.

Frequently asked questions

Answers before the request

The scope of services agreed in the quote remains binding.

Is high pressure suitable for natural stone?

That cannot be said in general terms. Stone type, surface, joints, age and existing damage must be examined.

Why is a test surface useful?

At an inconspicuous point, it shows how surface and color react to processes, distance and pressure.

Can high pressure damage joints?

Yes, loose or delicate joints can be washed out or altered. Their condition is therefore part of the preliminary examination.
